Due to Valentines day I have been chewing on Love this week. I read in 1 John4:16-19
19 We love because he first loved us."
What is love without God? That love is the love that breaks hurts, brings disappointment, cheats, betrays, lies...ect. That is the love people are so afraid of. But is that really love or just an imitation? God is love, and if God is love then should we be afraid to love someone? And should we love someone in our own strength?
God is love yet the love that most of the world wants is from humans, right? But how can a human love you correctly? Or why even settle for the model of love when you can have love from Love aka Jesus.
I know I am properly repeating myself and your proberly wondering like okay Faith God is love. But if there is one thing that I would want you to get from this blog is that God is love. And if you have been burned from "love" realize that was never love because if their love brought pain and fear then it was an imitation.
Last point since God is love that means every time you read the about love in the Bible you can replace God, Jesus, Holy Spirit in their because God is Love.
Here is the Famous Love Chapter in 1 Corinthians 13 I replaced every Love with Jesus
If I speak in the tonguesa]">[a] of men or of angels, but do not have Jesus, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have Jesus, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,b]">[b] but do not have Jesus, I gain nothing.
4 Jesus is patient, Jesus is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Jesus does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Jesus never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
