Sooo I started to write this blog mega-ages ago, okay just like a month, and I forgot to publish it, but after going back and reading it, I was thinking about Haiti, and how although the country was always wounded, the earthquake did not make Haiti helpless. God, can take what is seemingly a wreck and make it into His beauty. God will restore Haiti for His Glory, and we shall not be people without hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13)

40A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." 41Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" 42Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.
Jesus who loves beyond imagination, filled with compassion at the request of this man! Of course he wants to heal us, as seen in the gospels of the New Testament, Jesus was continually healing the broken, and this was only the beginning! When he was crucified upon the cross he bore all of our sicknesses; physical and emotional, so that one day when we feel we have nowhere to turn we can call on His name.
Isaiah 53:5
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Jesus has healed my heart even through the times when it looked blemish free to the world. It was easy, easy to look in the mirror and smile rather than dig into how I really felt. Either way emotions are still emotions they can only be hidden for so long. We may be scared, but no one is a more nurturing healer than our savior Jesus!
